A marketing service, not a licensed contractor. Septic system work is performed by independent licensed local contractors.

North Sound Septic Pros

Terms of use

Using https://northsoundsepticpros.com means you accept these terms. In short: this is an information and matching service, not a septic contractor. The work is performed by independent businesses, the regulatory information here is general and can change, and your county health department is the authority on what your property actually needs.

Who these terms are with

North Sound Septic Pros is operated by Compass Camper LLC, doing business as Compass Lead Group. In these terms, "the site" means https://northsoundsepticpros.com and everything published on it, and "we" and "us" mean that company. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the site.

What the site is

This website is operated by Compass Camper LLC (Oregon), a marketing and lead generation company doing business as Compass Lead Group. North Sound Septic Pros is a marketing service that connects homeowners with independent septic contractors licensed and certified by their county health department. All septic inspection, pumping, repair, installation, and drainfield work is performed by those independent contractors. Compass Camper LLC is not a licensed contractor and does not perform septic work directly. Contractor certification and registration numbers are available on request.

Two functions, and nothing beyond them. The site publishes general information about septic requirements in Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties, Washington. And it passes a homeowner's request to one independent local septic contractor certified by that county's health department. It performs no septic inspection, pumping, repair, replacement, installation, or drainfield work of any kind, and it holds no septic credential of its own.

The information here is general, not advice about your property

Everything published on this site is general information. It is not legal advice, engineering advice, real estate advice, or a determination about any specific property or system. Nothing here creates a professional relationship of any kind between you and us.

Septic requirements in Washington are administered county by county, and the rules, forms, fees, timelines, and credential categories change. Figures on this site carry the source and the date they were last read, and a page can go out of date between one reading and the next. Before you act on anything here, confirm the current requirement with the county health department for the county the property is in, or with the Washington rule itself. Where a county page and this site disagree, the county is right.

Where a figure has not been verified at a primary source, it is not published rather than estimated. The absence of a number on this site is not an invitation to substitute one you found elsewhere.

No warranty on contractor work

The contractor you are matched with is an independent business. We do not employ them, direct them, supervise them, price their work, or stand behind it. We make no promise or warranty about the quality, timing, cost, safety, workmanship, licensing status, insurance status, or outcome of any work they perform, and no promise or warranty that a county health department will accept any report they produce.

The introduction is the whole of what this site provides. Any contract, quote, estimate, warranty, payment, or dispute is between you and that contractor directly. You are responsible for checking their credentials before you hire, and the credential guide explains how: Washington has no single statewide septic license, so the checks are the county health department certification for the specific work and the Washington Labor and Industries contractor registration.

No warranty on the site itself

The site is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. This includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of inaccuracies, and we do not promise that any request submitted through it will result in a contractor contacting you.

Submitting a request

When you submit the form you confirm that the information is accurate, that the phone number is yours or that you are permitted to give it, and that you agree to be contacted at it by us and by the contractor you are matched with. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of any purchase, and you can withdraw it at any time. What is collected and how to have it deleted is in the privacy policy.

There is no charge to a homeowner for using this site. We are paid a referral fee by the contractor, explained on the how we make money page.

Acceptable use

Do not submit false information or another person's contact details without their permission. Do not scrape, copy, or republish the content of this site for a competing service. Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting, or its form, and do not use the site for any unlawful purpose. We may decline to pass on any request, for any reason, including a request that appears to be automated or fraudulent.

Content and links

The text, layout, and design of this site belong to Compass Camper LLC. Quotations from county health departments and from Washington administrative rules are quoted as source material and remain the property of their publishers.

Links to county health departments, state agencies, and other outside pages are provided so you can check what we have written against the source. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compass Camper LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site or out of any work performed by a contractor you were introduced to. This includes lost profits, a delayed or failed property sale, the cost of repairs or a replacement system, permit or inspection costs, and damage to property.

Because this site is free to homeowners and we receive nothing from you, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the site is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to hold Compass Camper LLC harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your dealings with a contractor you were introduced to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, where Compass Camper LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute connected with the site or these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in Oregon.

This does not change which law governs the septic work itself. Work performed on a Washington property, and the county requirements attached to it, are Washington matters and are governed by Washington law and by the county health department with jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The revised version replaces this one on this page, and the review date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Severability and contact

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Questions go to [email protected]. More about who runs the site is on the about page.
